Is Creeping Charlie in your lawn a good thing or a bad thing?
Is there a sure-fire way to get rid of Creeping Charley?
Hi Laurie, here are a few you can use - https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/organic/homemade-pet-friendly-weed-killer.htm
Try a mixture of Epsom salts and vinegar and water. It will depend on the area you are treating as to how much of each you will use. But you will ALWAYS want more of the Epsom salts and vinegar than water. The following is merely an example to give you a basic guideline.
1 cup Epsom salt
2cups Vinegar
1/4 to 1/2 cup water
You could probably find a chart somewhere online that would give mixture for different size areas.
But all these ingredients are safe around pets and children. I would recommend though letting the area completely dry before allowing children and pets in the area. Not because of toxicity, but because of possible allergies or sensitivities.
Good luck and happy gardening.
The vinegar will kill your weeds, but also any other grass or plants that get it on them. It will also essentially sterilize your soil where it gets on it and absorbs in. It will kill any good bacteria, etc. that is in the soil.
