Chicken or horse. Horse manure is easy to compost and takes about four to six weeks to turn from stable waste to garden gold if you do it properly. Composting does take some effort. Constructing a pile 3 by 3 feet and 3 to 4 feet high helps the process to go faster. Chicken manure can be ready in as little as 3 weeks.

Call or visit your local nursery to get more information for your area and project. Depends on what, but usually store bought. Fresh has weed seeds in it.

Definitely horse manure. Breaks down well with little to no ammonia smell you get with other manures.

Hi, Any so long as it is well rotted. Never spread fresh manure as it will be too acid and kill things.
