Preserve Artwork & Recipe Cards
Spray some hairspray onto your artwork and recipe cards to preserve them.
Hairspray is for more than just your hair. There are ways to use it to preserve, decorate, clean, and more!
Preserve Artwork & Recipe Cards
Spray some hairspray onto your artwork and recipe cards to preserve them.
Thread A Needle Easier
Spray a little hairspray on the end of the thread and let it dry.
It'll make it much easier to push through the hole on a needle.
Remove Ink Stains
Spray a little hairspray onto the ink stain.
Blot with a damp cloth.
Repeat spray & blot until the ink is gone.
Decorate A Recycled Jar
Pour hairspray into a recycled jar.
Twist the jar so that the hairspray coats the entire inside of the jar. Dump out the hairspray when your done coating.
Pour glitter into the jar and twist the jar making sure the glitter sticks to the hairspray inside. Dump out the extra glitter and let it dry completely.
Use it around your home to hold things like make up brushes, pens, or turn it into a beautiful candle holder.
Remove Pet Hair
Spray hairspray onto a rubber glove.
Wipe the fabric with the pet hair with your glove.
The hair will stick to the hairspray on the glove. Rinse your glove off and repeat the process.
Preserve Flowers
Spray your flowers with hairspray and let them dry out. The hairspray helps them last longer and then as the flowers dry helps preserve them.

Have a question about this project?
It's a cool idea but won't the glitter flake off inside the jar when only using hairspray?
it becomes pretty solid after drying. A little glitter will always flake off. Another option would be to use mod podge instead of the hairspray
Do you have to use a certain type of hairspray?
I used liquid spray for some and aerosol for others - any brand works fine.
