How to strip stain off of a dresser?
I have an old dresser I need to strip the old stain off before restaining. What is the easiest and least messy product to use to do this?

I would use an electric sander!
Try Citristrip. It's safe to use indoors, Karen.
Karen...Purchase a good striper such a Citristrip (many more) but I like this one. You need a brush to apply, a scraper to remove but the store should have everything just talk with them at the store and they can help you. I use toothbrushes that will help with any grooves or decorative areas. Just take you time and enjoy your redo. Sanding will be involved and well as polyurethane at the end if you choose.
Stain absords into the grain. You would need to sand down to raw wood.
Citristrip is my preferred product.
