Carol, this may not be the most helpful answer, but I always say weeds are in the eye of the beholder, so if you don't mind it, don't worry about it.

Woo Hoo! I got my answer. I didn't plant it. Does Passion Flower Vine grow wild in GA?

Passiflora Incarnata, or maypop, is a native.

Another night owl. Thanks Douglas. I thought maybe it was native because the bloom is smaller than the one that I had purchased in So Cal. Now if I can just find a Sassafras tree on my property I would be a happy camper.

Not really a night owl, Carol. There's a six-hour time difference where I am right now.

Carol...if you really want sassafras, I can get you one...I dont have any at my house, I dont care for it myself, but I know where some is and they have plenty of it growing wild and wouldnt mind giving it up!
