Water is the enemy to wood floors. I use a Swiffer weekly and once every 6 months I fill a dishpan full of water with 1 drop of dawn liquid wring the microfiber cloth out as much as possible and damp wipe them. My floors still look brand new & shiny after 20 years!
I have been in the house cleaning business for over 30 yrs and water is not good for wood floors nor Murphys Soap Oil. We use Bona which is a wood floor cleaner/polish. It makes our floors shine and they are so clean. Here is the info from Bona to check it out and it could be found in Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot..

I use a Norwex microfiber mop - just like the swiffer but with a re-washable microfiber pad and you just use water to get it damp and it does the job!
Janice has the answer. Only damp mop when needed.
When we had our floors refinished, the guy doing it gave us bona and told us that that's what he uses on his.
