How do I clean my blinds?

I have several blinds in my house, many different sizes. I would like to wash them. What do I do?

Hi Diane. Run a warm bath in your tub. Add a squirt of dish soap while the water is running. Put a set of blinds in the tub and scrub them with a soft brush. Rinse with clean water. If possible, put them outside to dry. Then hang them back up.

I have several pairs of the wide wood looking plastic blinds. First I vacuum or brush off the dust then I wipe each slat with a body wipe or baby wipe without lanolin. It dries quick and leaves the blinds looking new again

I'm on board with Cindy. I have always washed mine in the tub. Easiest way. I use a soft long handled bath brush. If you have a helper it is much easier. One holds the top and lets the blind extend to full length. Gently brush one side then the other and use the shower to wash off the soap. Hang where you can or pull cord back up to have them pleated like you would with them full open on the window. Stand on end to let most water drain off. Hang and use an old bath towel to dry off any remaining water.

I used to use the bathtub method. Now that I'm older, I don't stand on chairs or ladders any more. Getting down on my knees to scrub things is hard for me now. Now I keep them dusted with an ostrich feather duster. I wipe them side to side with Clorox wipes when they need washing. I really like the results.
