How do I get rid of vines on my lawn?

    Hi Jean,


    You would first have to identify what type of vines you have growing and go from there, a simple mowing may be enough to control them..or not, all depends on what you have. If you sent a picture we maight be able to figure out what they could be, another route would be to take a sample and /or a picture to your local nursery to figure this out and what treatment can be used.       thanks, I will take a sample to the nursery as mowing and digging them out is not working!! A think lawn is not killing them either...

    We have spot sprayed or pulled the trumpet vines invading our lawn from the neighbors. We had a block wall installed last year with a 1' deep foundation. I'm hoping their roots are cut and blocked by the concrete. Time will tell.

    Yes we pull the vine out near the root then spray one squirt of weed killer in each hole where vine is pulled from. Seems to work for us.
