How to find new use for flat sheets never used?

My household doesn't seem to like the top sheet on a bed, so I have many unused flat sheets that I would like ideas on what to do with them.

I use them for the backing on quilts I make for the homeless and women’s shelters. Perhaps you can contact a local church or group that makes quilts for charity. I am sure they would greatly appreciate them.

Since I have always lived on a budget I have used sheets for curtains. In my sitting room window I have a pair of twin sheets, my house needs to the floor curtains and these work that way. Also my dining room has four double bed sheets at the pair of windows. these also touch the floor. You could also use them for drop cloths, or to cover furniture. I have 4 beds in my attic rooms and they are not used to much now that my grandchildren are grown, I could cover those with sheets over the bedding so they would keep clean.

    Thank you for your suggestions!

  • That seems to be he norm these days. I am old school. Love fresh crisp top and bottom sheets. You can use as a quilt backing. You can use as curtains. You can sew or Velcro an old plastic shower curtain to the back side to make a picnic or beach blanket.

I have lived in 11 places and always made my own curtains out of flat sheets. Could also use to make extra pillow case for the bed or use some to put on sofa or chairs.

Aprons for the garden to hold gloves and tools, donate to a shelter, some people make children's clothes out of them.
