Why do you want to paint them? They don’t look bad.
Painted floors are never as durable and will likely scratch soon. Sorry! Not what you wanted to hear. :(
I have a bad floor with dents/dips on red oxide + cement base in two rooms + toilet area - how can I smarted it up economically.
I have many, many painted floors. It is true that scraping furniture over them does scratch, damage paint. Walking does not hurt them. I don't think I understand your question though. Do you want to paint linoleum so it looks like wood, or to paint wood?
Basically clean floor completely, rinse well and leave to dry. Cut corner/sides with a brush and use roller for the rest. Foll9ow up with a coat of sealer.
I agree with FrugalFamilyTImes. Why would you want to paint these floors? I think they are gorgeous. Painting will only buy you trouble in the future. It definitely won't be as durable and the paint will be disturbed with moving furniture, kids traffic and activities just to mention two quick thoughts of agreement. I hope you prove me wrong if you decide to give it a try, but might want to hang I there for a bit and save your money to replace them with what you truly would like to have. Once you paint them there is no going back and I honestly feel you wont be happy and looking at replacing them anyway. Wishing you the best of luck and beauty not matter which direction you chose.
