Trap and release, most county extension offices have trapping info some will let you put a deposit down on a live catch trap, then when you have released the rabbits across a river preferred, you take the trap back, and get the deposit back

Mike, here in the Midwest USA, the rabbits are good eating, right tasty in fact, and have a designated hunting/ trapping season. The hide with the fur is used to make earmuffs. The bunnies can have a litter about every other month. They are not usually defensive and prefer to hide. I’ve raised rabbits for a 4h project and to put lean meat on the table. You don’t want your protein poisoned.

  • I read this from Gma Kirk: A farmer gave me a gross recipe for repellent...but it works. cup or two of urine, tablespoons of crushed garlic, and cayenne pepper, two eggs in a gallon jug, shake well, fill rest of the way with water. Cap and let age a week. Then you drizzle small stream around the perimeter of whatever you want to keep them from eating.
