If the fabric is safe (always test an inconspicuous spot) for vinegar, it is a really good deodorizer. If it takes out cat pee from carpet and fabric, it should work on yours. Make sure it won't harm any of the surfaces around it, some finishes may not like it.

I don't know of salt in any kind of air or fabric freshener. Salt may leave a white salt residue and harm fabric and wood finished. Never use one with alcohol in it either as it would harm the finish on furniture when it settles from in the air.

I keep spray bottles filled with equal parts vinegar and water mixture. Sometimes baking soda has to be sprinkled on top of the sprayed area to get out stains. Both vinegar and baking soda are good odor obsorbers. Which one you use depends on what is causing the odors, and what surface needs cleaning.

Put some activated charcoal in cloth bags to hang on door knobs. Cheapest supply is sold for fish tank filters. It can be used anywhere even in fridge. Just not sure ho9w often it needs to be replaced.
