I have a cooking oil stain on/in wood porch floor and want to do something to make floor look clear. I tried powder, decreaser and Dawn but neither worked to remove stain. Any suggestions? Paint?? Stain??

Did you try Sanding it out?

Thank you but I think sanding the spot would make the area more noticeable. Don't want to sand entire porch but may have to. ☺

Since you have used the degreasers I would recommend, my next step would be to sand the area, restrain, and reseal. Best wishes!

Try cat litter next, a finer texture rather than coarse.

I've read articles that state cat litter will remove oil stains from concrete but I don't know if it's sealed or not; this means it may or may not work on wood.
