How do I unclutter my bedroom when I don't have room to clear it out?

I would like to know how to "unclutter" my bedroom. I am not able to put things someplace else while I go thru them. Thank you. Beatrice Birdsong

Hello Beatrice! You can work on your room a little bit at a time, for as many days as it takes, removing things as you go. Throw or recycle as you progress through the room. Start with anything around the room you want to get rid of--pictures, wall decor, candles, etc. Go to the drawers next--working on one or two drawers at a time. Go through your closet last. You have to be ruthless about getting rid of things you don't really need, clothes that don't fit or have holes, things you haven't worn for more than 2 years., stuff that just collects dust and you never pay any attention to it!

Every day fill a box or trash bag up and drop off at the Goodwill until your room is uncluttered. Winter clothes pack in suite cases or clear plastic bins and store under your bed. Pick only a few much loved pictures or décor items, store the rest or put in another room. Good luck.

Make it a one day project. Pile everything on your bed. Then go through each item. Decide if it is keep, donate, or trash. Decide how you want to organize your closet and/or drawers. Get heavy duty large trash bags and put a piece of tape on them labeled 'donate' or 'trash'. Either an item goes back in your closet or in one of the bags. As you fill a donation bag put it in your car. The next day take your donate bag to the donation center. Immediately put the trash bag in the outside trash. Organize your closet by color and type. Separate tops by sleeveless, short sleeved, long sleeved. Group each type by color. Hang in your closet from shortest to longest. Use the sides and back of the closet with hooks for purses and scarves. If you have a standard closet door, use clear a clear shoe bag or purse holder on the inside of the door. You can also use the outside of the door to hang scarves or hats if storage is really tight.

just do small areas at a time - drawers, dressers, closet, etc. I buy clear storage containers and fill them one at a time and then put label on outside saying what is inside..good luck
