Violas can grow anywhere. The cute little flower comes back every year. They start popping up just before spring and even survive through a frost. It all started with a small pot of them and now 4 years later they cover two areas, one is 12ft x 5 ft and the other is 20ft x 6 ft rock gardens. I have about 10 color variations. I started digging g up a few and planting them in pots and they come back every year also.
