Sorry wrong key. Anyway sheets don't make heavy drapes but you could buy material and do the same thing. I like sheets because all you have to do is cut them in half lengthways and seam the cut edge. You will have to sew the top end with the folded part by hand making sure you leave the opening open. Slide your curtain rod through the sleeve of and you have curtains. You could do the same thing with heavier material as long as your not looking for pleated curtains/drapes.
I am even lazier. I use sheets and curtain clips on a rod. If you want formal drapes, check this out.
