How to change a bathtub shower combo to a walk in shower?

Question

We have a bathtub shower combo and we are changing it to a walk in shower. Do have have to change the plumbing. We will no longer need the faucet but don't mind leaving it in place.

Menards also has fiberglass walk in showers that are 60' wide, the same width as a tub, this eliminating some of the expense. There is also a company that will remove a section of the tub leaving a lower threshold to enter the tub. They finish the opening for a smooth finish. The company says to keep the piece so the tub can be restored to its original state when or if necessary.

You'll still need to replumb. The drain is in wrong place. Have to tear out walls for new shower. Install a shower pan. Probably add an exhaust fan light. Frame in shower curb and any walls to accommodate a door or do glass wall with door. If tiling install your cement board for walls and outside of shower floor. Lots to do.
