Walnut boards
How can I make a kitchen table with these walnnut boards?
I want to make a kitchen table top with boards. They are 1/2 inch thick and I want to place them on top of plywood and put a trim around the sides...
We (husband and i) did a butcher block dinning table. We took our 2x4 and using wood glue, glued them side by side, holding them with a clamps till dried. Used saw horses for stability. Two long clamps were used, glued one board, clamp, dry, then add the next board, so on. Make sure no moisture outside when doing this or it will warp. When dried we added our frame and trim for the underside of the 2x4 block and legs from the pervious table. Sanded the top so it was smooth ( glue leaked) but still see the grain, then added our cherry wood stain. I wanted where it was easily wipeable so heavy on the glaze.
