How can I get rid of a strange smell in my fridge?

I have cleaned out frig, got rid of a bunch of stuff. Washed it out but there is still a faint smell remaining.

    Until you can find the cause of the smell, put an opened box of baking soda in your refrigerator, it will absorb the odor.

    my mom puts a box of baking soda (opened) in the fridge. you might try that. hope that works for you.

    First wipe down the interior with a baking soda paste; then place several small bowls of baking soda, one on each level.

    I did put baking soda in the frig too. I guess it just might take time to work.

    Set an open bowl of ammonia in the fride for a couple of days. It worked for me when the cable guy unplugged our freezer. It went for weeks without being noticed. Pork had rotted in it. It got rid of the smell. You won't be able to use your fridge for a daybor so while the ammonia is in there.

    The smell might be coming from the drip pan underneath the refrig, pull it out and give it a good cleaning.
