    Wonderful! I am all for raised beds, whether for kids, seniors, or community gardens - and especially in locations where the soil is problematic (clay, sand, rubble). A lot can be said about neatness too. Add Lorraine's tips to it, and some others too - sowing winter rye or garlic, growing beans and peas for natural fertilizers, companion planting, using rainwater for watering, and you've got a winning formula. Congratulations on your harvest too.
