How do I start a vegetable garden?

Bought a house with a small fenced-in garden area but have no idea how to start. Is There a guide that will help me start a garden step by step?

Contact your County Ag. Extension Office. You need to know what type of soil you have, the growing zone and what type of plants/vegetables grow best in your area. The soil may be depleted or may be ready to plant if the weeds have been removed. Get a soil test from the garden area done first. The Extension office has them around $10.00 and are very complete.
