Lamium, Pachysandra, some varieties of Euonymous ground cover, or Moss phlox, which blooms in Spring, as would Daffodils, Crocus, Hyacinth, etc.

HI Tammie. I am not sure of your area but I love Hostas. They grown big fast and can be split to make more and spread out. I also like to use ferns.

depends on your area, but low light plants are good - ferns rock at this!
