Baking soda is a natural deodorizer. What about putting some baking soda in a bit of fabric (or maybe a coffee filter), tie it up, and place in the shoes? Tying up the filter/fabric will keep the soda from spilling into the shoes.

Fabric softener sheets stuffed in them. Kitty litter in old socks stuffed in them. You can mix some baking soda with the kitty litter.

Hi Joann. I put baking soda in my kids shoes. Then I let it sit over night and vacuum it out. I also have sprayed Lysol in them and then put them on a boot dryer. Works well.

put baking soda in their shoes then wack them togeather to get most of it out leave rest in helps absorb the moisture from their feet. Will also help keep fungal infections from growing on their feet due to moisture.Breathable shoes not plastic shoes are so much healthier for anyones feet. Wash their shoes in washer.

To begin with, why do the shoes smell? Are they plastic? Buy them shoes with fabric so the feet can breathe, it is the sweat and moisture that is causing the bad smell. You could also use antifungal powder in their socks.

To keep his feet dry, my husband uses Gold Bond Medicated Foot Powder. He cuts it in half w/ cornstarch. Keeping feet dry goes a long way in preventing bad smells.
