  • Hi Carol! Rust-Oleum 2x spray paint can be used to paint plastic and it has a built-in primer. You’ll need to clean the surface from dust and fingerprints first with a degreaser like TSP (found in the paint aisle). Then scuff up the surface with 200 grit sandpaper. Clean the dust off. Then you can give your furniture a 2-3 light coats of spray paint. Give the paint a few days to cure before sitting on the furniture.

Give it a good scrub and repaint it with Krylon spray paint that is for plastic. I did this with Adirondack chairs and stencils and then sealed them. Lasts for a good while and if it doesn’t you can redo them.

If it's vinyl / plastic that is sun faded, you might try TIRE CLEANER. it works great on faded vinyl shutters.

  • Hi Carol,

We have had really great luck lately with this Mr Clean product. It attaches to your hose and works wonders. I also use a heavy duty brush to work on stubborn areas like cracks.
