You should check your local thrift shops for area rugs. My local Salvation Army has sales every few months where they discount their already dirt low prices by 50-75%.

    Yes you can.

If you decide to do this, Remember to check all wallpaper seams. Including the ceiling seams. If any seams have started to lift, use the right kind of glue to seal the seams down again and secure them prior to painting.

Wipe down the walls with a damp cloth for clean surface. You will need to use a good quality paint to cover the paper. Use 2 coats of paints for the best coverage.

Use a flat or satin finish paint, no glossy finish paints. The flatter the paint finish the less it shows up any irregularities or seams form the wallpaper.

    Hi, Penne,

Check out Costco.com for weather resistant rugs for your location. If you have no roofline or awning, look for a rug with more sun resistance.

Carpeting purchased by the yard would not be suitable for outdoor use simply due to the raw edges from where the carpet was cut off the roll. The edges will fray, catch, disintegrate, and will become a trip hazard.
