How do I create a pegboard wall to hang framed photos?

Has anyone tried putting pegboard up on a wall and then hanging framed photos anywhere without having to put regular picture hangers up? Where would there be hooks that would work for this project? This is for a basement finished off TV room, so it is not going to degrade the main living space.

Hi Marilyn, You can get peg board hooks in a variety of shapes and sizes at Lowe's or Home Depot. What I do for hanging frames, is attach picture hanging wire on the back of the frame and hanging it from one of the small pegboard hooks.

  So, there aren't unique hooks that are smaller than the regular ones?
  How does your wall look? I was told a pegboard wall would look cheap and terrible. But, I want to be able to hang and move photos anywhere I want and I think the pegboard idea is super.

  I'm not aware of any special hooks for frames. I never asked at the hardware store. They do have a wide variety of hooks though. If you frame it out and paint your peg board to match your decor, it wont look cheap. It's a good idea!
