How does one clean the built up grease stains on pans without using strong harmful cleaning chemicals?Is there a home made remedy?

    I use baking soda. I sprinkle it on and get it slightly damp and scrub. If it's really bad, let it sit for 10-15 minutes and scrub again. You can also spray some vinegar diluted 1:1 on the baking soda for a little more scrubbing power.

    I use Dawn dish liquid. Removes crude oils off animals from oil spills.

    Dawn dish soap,Baking soda,Lemon juice and green scrubber sponge,Elbow grease. Don't let the grease get built up, the more you heat grease stained pan even in dishwasher you are essentially hardening grease on pan. If you clean the pan each time you use it with comet cleanser or Dawn & baking soda it will also make pan cook more evenly and last much longer.
