How do I remove a wallpaper border from wood paneling?

    Wet it down with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and hot water. Let it soak in. Then scrape off with a putty knife.

    Would this work if the wallpaper is on a textured wall? I know I will have to repaint!

    To prevent scratches, I would steam it off and scrape with a plastic scraper when loosened.

    I had to do this years ago. My dad taught me to use a razor to gently make cuts in the paper. Use hot water with vinegar in a spray bottle and let sit. Use a flat scrapper to get it off.
