How do I remodel a large mirror?

I have an appropriate 3x4 lMirror outlined in metal. I would like to redecorate the frame of it with wood or something and hang it on a wall. Any ideas

Yes, I would prime it first and then spray paint it using a stone paint.
If you are able to remove the frame (which you usually can with a mirror) you can make an easy wood frame to go around it. Alternatively, you can also paint the one that is on it to resemble wood if it is a good shape and removing it is too hard.
