Only 2 sides need to be screened in.

  • For our deck, the previous owners used heavy duty staples to staple the screen material to the posts and used lattice trim to cover and make everything look nice. You can buy the screen material by the roll and the lattice by the foot. Just nail the lattice and paint.

Walmart sells plastic screening material that comes in rolls. Plastic screening would probably be the cheapest unless you could find some at a Habitat of Humanity store that was in good condition.

  • Your local hardware store should have a bamboo screen which are not to expensive.

Cheapest price materials are not always the sturdiest or most durable.

Thanks good people for suggestions. However I forgot to mention the issue regarding the roofing. The 2 sides that are open will definitely have to be covered with shingles, plywood and wood for roofing. Also I think a few more post to attach added roof to.
