Unfortunately, too many pieces of furniture lack zippered cushions. You may have to resort to a velcro closure.
They were attached somehow when it was made and I would investigate how and determine what happens when you cut the stitching or whatever it is.
If they have “no bottoms”, I would make “hats” for them (inverted boxes) with Velcro “lassos” on the back edges.
I had a chair with a fixed cushion. It was attached by one piece of fabric that I cut with scissors and it didn't affect the chair or cushion at all... You might also find this site helpful:

Noel what helped me refinish a fixed cushion was to take the old off and use it as a template. Making notes about how it came off and where it was staples or glued down.
