Take up whatever is there now and re-do it however you want. Ask around, maybe at some of your local home improvement stores for ideas.

You could possibly paint the surrounding area, depending on what it is. You could add new seating or some plants to brighten it up!

Donna to re decorate the patio area I suggest washing whatever decking you have. Repaint or refinish if necessary. If you like plants get some nice planters and colors that you like with some little maintenance plants that your local nursery can tell you are the best for your area. This is what we did with my mom’s home in Florida with just a few plants in a clean deck and it looks fabulous
