I use lemon mix with water about 50/50, cats dont like lemon, I have also sprayed lemon solution on plants to keep them away from my plants, it works!

Get a plastic container with a screw on lid. Fill with coins. Say NO and shake the container when you see the cat doing it. Or you can just spray with water and say NO.

    Hi Deborah,

The best way is to re-direct them. Another source suggested double sided tape on the carpet, they don't like that.

Yes, use a discipline can and spray water. I use a Soft drink can and tape over hole after putting in several pennies. I've also threw it at them purposely missing them to land it close . Makes a great racket.

If you're able to catch them, you might use this idea that I used to stop one of my "teen-aged" kittens from pottying behind the TV in the corner of the living room. I kept one of those SUPER BLASTER machine gun type water guns next to my recliner (which kind of squeaked a little when you moved in it). When the little booger started to try to sneaky creep back there I doused his tail (just a tiny bit). LOL.....only took a couple of times hearing that recliner squeak as I leaned over to grab the water gun after that and THAT was the end of that problem.
