What's the best way to paint a black vinyl?

Is it possible? I have a black vinyl storage ottoman and I would like to change the color. I'm looking for a quick, easy and cheap fix.The storage lid flips to create a tray.It's for a tiny living space.

You might consider finding a nice fabric color you like or one with a pattern you like and spraying the ottoman with spray adhesive and sticking the fabric onto the ottoman. You can change it when you tie of the redo.

You can make a slip cover with fabric remnants, old sheet, table cloth, etc.
Try spray paint it would stick better.
