String Art Growth Chart

School is about to start and my little happy camper is all excited about going to Kindergarten!! I’ve been wanting to make David a wall plaque with his name in string art. So as I began laying the letters out, the idea came to me to run the leaders vertically and create a string art growth chart!
I used: Supplies:

1 x 12 x 4 top choice white wood board

Paint or varnish (optional)

Nails

Stencil image

Hammer

Crochet thread, yarn or embroidery floss

Peel & Stick Letters

Sharpie

Measuring tape
I painted the board with a base color. Then I found a stenciled font in Microsoft Word and did a full page print out of each letter. I secured the letters to the board with tape.
Use nails to outline the letters.
Tear the paper away and begin to loop yarn from nail to nail.
From now on our tradition will be to record his height at the beginning and end of each school year. The really cool thing is that we can always take it with us!!
