I love growing my own food when I am able to find time to tend to the plants. My new house has a small 10x 9 sunroom and I wanted to take advantage of the space now that the danger of cold weather is gone in my area.

I gathered seeds, soil, containers, a red sharpie and began by labeling the containers to correspond with the seeds I planted in them. I filled them with soil and carefully placed the seeds and lightly covered them with dirt. I used a spray bottle filled with water to spray the top of the soil till it puddled slightly, then drained.

I had an existing 3 tired plant rack that worked great, holding 4 pots on each level. I also hung 2 hooks from the ceiling and added hanging baskets and placed large containers in each corner.

I planted celery, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, dill, various strawberries, and some purple rain pansies in the hanging pots. I may add veggies but those are the ones I had on hand that I had ordered specifically for growing and hopefully eating, enjoying the mature plants.

Easily customizable to fit your growing space. Containers also fit nicely on the window sill. Since pesky mosquitoes are a problem I should probably add some citronella plants so that I can deter them as well.

Keep the top soil moist by spraying top of soil with water daily, or when it begins to dry out. Watch for sprouts and water as needed. Plants can then be planted in garden or transplanted to larger pots for indoor growing. Hopefully I will have some success, enjoy!
