How do I revive a 1950's christening gown that's gone yellow?

I have a family christening gown that's made of what looks like silk/satin material and covered in a net type material. On the bodice it has small flowers in pink/blue. Even though it has been kept covered it has yellowed over time. How can I get it back to it's original colour of white.

Thank you

test a small spot with oxiclean. If it works, then soak the whole dress in a sink with dissolved oxiclean powder in it.

Honestly not sure if the active ingredients in vanish are the same as oxiclean - I've only used oxiclean.

Oxyclean is a hydrogen based bleach in a granular form, available at supermarkets.

You might have to look to Amazon to get it.

Thank you Redcatcec. I'll have a look around to see if what I can find. I didn't think anyone would reply. You and Maura are great. Many thanks ladies.
