A person I know is opening a bakery and needs something to put the cash register on to display products on that wont cost an arm and a leg. Does anyone have any ideas?

Look on Craig's list, Let it Go, and Offer Up web sites. Also go to flea markets and thrift stores. Tons of display cases, tables and desks for very cheap

    Good luck.

    • Kelli hit the nail on the head, display cases can be found for pennies on the dollar if purchased second hand. Don't forget your habitat re stores too. If you live near a big city, look up commercial liquidators. They sell used items from businesses that have closed or places like hotels and motels that have updated their decor. Whatever you choose, make sure it follows local health and safety codes. Where I live, they have inspections annually unless they find violations. Then you get on the short list with unscheduled pop in inspections.

We have a place that sells second hand furniture. They frequently carry display cases and other related items.

POP displays should be at eye level and in the case of a bakery, easily rotated for different times of day.

I would find a way to add a little card, or placard, to spark the imagination of the impulse buyer.
