My husband recaulked the crack between the wall and tub. When he pushed it into the crack with his finger, he got it on the top of my tub. What is the best way to remove caulking from the top of my tub? It looks sloppy, but I don't want to tell him that. I was thinking of a razor blade but my tub is fiberglass. Any suggestions?? Thank you..!

Anything plastic. Like credit card should work.

William, Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I know I have a plastic spatula, in my home. Maybe that will work. Thanks....Deb

I have always scraped the dried excess caulk with a razor blade. Use a wet rag and wipe the area clean. You might need to repeat the last part a few times.

Mogie, That is what I thought of. I used to use it when I had an enamel tub. But, the fiberglass is different. I will try it flat. There is quite a bit on the edge of the tub. Thanks....Deb

Sorry forgot to add my tub is fiberglass just be very careful not to nik the tub. I lay the razor blade almost flat so it doesn't catch the fiberglass.

They also make a silicon caulk remover, I get it at True Value hardware store.

Hi Sharon, Boy, did you save my day. I didn't know that they had silicon remover. My husband works at Lowes, he should know about this. This will make things a lot easier for me. Thank you for sharing that information..!! ...Deb
