Do you have any suggestion for the best paint stripper?
I got this beautiful piece for free on Marketplace. It needs A LOT of work, but I am ready for it! I was planning on using (for the fist time) Citristrip, but I can't find it anywhere (USA or Canada)... So do you have any suggestion for the best paint stripper, low odor, that I could use inside ?Thank you all! :)

You could order it online at Amazon ... https://www.amazon.com/s?k=citristrip+paint+remover&crid=22GKKG1EY6TQ9&sprefix=citristrip%2Caps%2C230&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_5_10

I went to a night class fir stripping furniture and French polishing.
Use nitromorse to remove,a scraper then wire wool bring the grade down to 0000 wire well. DON’t French Polish,my dog ruined the top of mine after French polishing so I sanded then make sure it’s dust free and use Ronseal satin gloss it truly looks as if it is polished. Don’t use high glass ever ,makes things look too cheap. The satin is beautiful every time. You would think my table that I spent many hours using French polish,it water marks also, well the Ronseal SATIN made the top look like the French polish legs.
Would you consider Chalk Paint? No stripping needed!
I would use Annie Sloan, Jolie or Dixie Belle, You do.not have to strip or pime with those paint lines. :) You can lightly sand some of the areas where the paint is coming off to make sure it's nice and smooth for new paint to be applies. But, it looks like a great piece of paint! :)
You an check out How I use chalk paint here. :)
Here it is on amazon! I recommend covering with plastic wrap after you put the citristrip on ... 2works better! https://amzn.to/2UmsGY4
I have furniture refinishing friends in Canada and it's hard for them to get Citristrip unless they order it on Amazon for a ton. I would be wary of sanding it down if it's lead based paint. If it's not, then I would sand it down and fill in the chipped paint with wood filler. When the old finish is smooth you can paint over it.
Citristrip Paint & Varnish Stripping Gel Citrus Scent (32 Oz) best stripper you can use. Works on most surfaces including enamel and no fumes.
I have used chemical strippers a lot on my back porch door. They stink, are messy, and just take too long to work. Best stripping option I ever tried was a heat gun. On old paint a heat gun is the way to go!
Did you try Amazon for Citristrip?
Hi, Lowe's Home Improvement, Home Depot or both sells Citristrip. It may not work as well as more potent paint strippers but it seems to be less smelly and maybe less toxic. Stripping paint and varnish is time consuming but so worth it to restore a piece back to its former glory. I can't wait to see how this turns out. Please post your finished project.
I am so sorry. I didn't know you lived in Canada when I replied. I love Canada. It is so beautiful and the people are so nice. My husband, son and I have visited 7 Canadian provinces. We loved every one. We have such wonderful memories of our trips.
