I have only found one thing that works every time. Make a paste out of Tide with Bleach. It has to be the powder and HAS to be the bleach kind. Dampen the spots, generously rub the paste into the stains with a scrub brush, then let sit overnight or longer. Before putting into your washer on the hottest, longest setting, generously wet the spots with hot water and do another quick scrub. No detergent is needed for the second scrub because the water will make the paste left on the spots "gooey" enough to scrub. This has never failed me for perspiration stains or 98% of other stains. If you're not satisfied, do it a second time. Good luck!

I have always used the product Spray and Wash for necklines and underarm stains. But recently I started making 1/2 cup of a paste of powdered Gain, a little water and white vinegar. I rub this in, let it soak in a few inches of cold washing machine water. We don’t have the hot water connected to the washer. Then I toss in the other white clothes with the recommended amount of Gain for the water level I choose. The vinegar takes out any underarm odor, I think. 50+ years of dress shirts counts for something, I think. Best wishes to you!

  • Oxyclean has helped us as an addition to our whites in the washer.

I have always used OxyClean just like previous person. I wet the area rub on oxyclean on to the stain and let it sit a little bit. Then throw in washer. Make sure you read the oxyclean container they have a lot of different ones.
