Seaglass and Dark Wax Dresser

At this point, I have painted a few dressers. Sometimes a paint a few in one day. But when a dear friend asks you to paint one of her family heirlooms, that can be a game changer. Just moving the dresser made me break out into hives!
I get this pretty little thing in the barn and I stalk it...I circle it..I prayed over it.
(Well, maybe the prayer was a little selfish - this one was all about me) We had agreed on a general look but the exact finish, which all finishers know can't be totally planned out, was all on me.
GAME ON.
Before.
Layer of Coastal Colors Summer's Fog, then a layer of Seaglass, light distressing.
Add Fiddes & Sons dark wax for texturing.
Put back the original but polished hardware.
Buff wax to a dreamy finish.
Finished product! See blog for more finishing details!

This came out just gorgeous! I love when someone has the guts to have something done to an old and I should say, beautiful piece! Yes I loved the piece in it's original state but I must say you did a fabulous job of refinishing it. It is a true seaside treasure! Love love love that color!
