Recently I emptied my entire closet and had it painted. I had the shelves along the top before paintlng. I had small (8"-10") shelves on the left side with a shelf over to the back walls for my shoes. Then attached a rod for all my longer clothes. On the other side I attached two rods to use for blouses and such. I had room on the back wall to use a four drawer night stand with an inexpensive open shelving unit from Big Lots. For my closet, every inch of space is now efficiently used. I hope this helps you.

    Hi there,

Use Can pulls over hangers to make double hanger, Use chain over hook and thread other hangers through that. Find another place to store bulky items that are not clothes (handbags, shoes Hats) etc. Maybe in boxes under the bed or display on shelves. Hope that helps.......

  • Getting rid of stuff is the best way. Donate anything that you don't love or wear. Pull it all out and only put back the stuff you love. It's surprising what you just stop seeing. You also rediscover old things that you forgot you have and love.

You'll be amazed at how much storage you can gain this way!
