I painted a frame with chalk paint and distressed it a little and now I hate it.
I think spray painting is definitely the way to go, too many crevices to do it any other way.
As for color, I love tan houses with black shutters...
All paint will fade from sun and weather. Use Rustoleum 2X spray paint. Several light coats will give you a smooth finish.
If they made paint that lasted forever you'd only need to buy paint once and they'd be out of business.
Mitchell....Rustoleum has some great spray paints.
I used Curb Appeal paint by DecoArt and it has held up great after 2 years. I used black.
I used F 11 !
Its not a paint but a liquid wax
it’s costly but it works great
you only need a little
we use it on our cars and motor cycles
I tried it on one shutter just to see if it would work and it still looks great after several yrs
Nothing wrong with visiting a professional. Check with Sherwin William’s, Lowe’s or Home Depot and always “read the can” even if choosing to spray paint.
