3po3 on Jun 26, 2012It's certainly not ideal to move them now. Irises are pretty hardy, but it might be tough on some of the other plants to move them in the summer heat. I know I moved some groundcovers about a week ago and they are not doing so hot in our record heat (yes, today we hit the highest temperature ever in Denver).Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Jun 26, 2012It's not the ideal time, but it sounds like you have no choice. Watering is going to be the key. Try to make sure you have a spot for the plants to go, to minimize the time they are out of the ground, and try to move them on cloudy or overcast days, or at least not in full-on sun. Good luck!Helpful Reply

360 Sod (Donna Dixson) on Jun 26, 2012Adding to the chorus, not an idea time, and adding a solo ~ get as much of the root ball as possible to minimize the stress on the plant. If at all possible I do recommend that you wait until fall.Helpful Reply
