Really doesn't work well on toilets,will peel inside bowl very quickly. The sink and tub will last a little longer if very careful. Once scratched and water gets under it, the coating will peel. Usually on tile and porcelain tubs you get about 3 years. You best option is to buy time by using the epoxy kits made for that sold at Home Depot. Step by step instructions are in the kit. Start saving up for remodel.
Rustoleum or Homax tub and tile paint kits. May work on outside of toilet only. Glazing on toilet is different than tub and sink. Must be epoxy based to last.
Yes, the toilet is not really something you want to recolor. It won’t last.
If you want it colored toilet, look for a used one online.
If you want a white one and you have a colored one you should be able to sell it for a good amount or trade it for a white one. The white ones are cheap.

Enamel spray. Sanding down the messed-up spots and paint enamel spray is not supposed to come off
