The leaves, which are also kind of heart or fan shaped, have multiple stems coming from one source. Each has a single leaf. Because I didn’t disturb the root ball I don’t know if the source is a bulb, a corm, or what.
What plant is this?
I dug this out of the lawn because it looked kind of neat. Hoping someone may know what’s it is. The plant is about 4.“ tall and the leaves started out kind of spade shaped, about 3/4” wide.
As they mature the leaves round out to about an inch and a quarter across and set tiny white flower buds. They’re kind of unique and cute. I hope they don’t turn out to be my worst nightmare.

There are several varieties so i won't attempt to say which one exactly but it is a PILEA
I'm thinking pilea, too. They like bright, indirect sunlight, mild temps, and can live indoors if you like. Let the soil dry (like an African Violet) before watering. They're not toxic, but try not to allow pets to eat them. If you decide to feed them, a general purpose plant food will do, half strength and maybe 4 times a year, tops.
A dollar plant I think.
Thank you for posting this question. This plant has appeared in my large flower pots for about 3 years now and have not been able to ID it. Whatever the variety I am getting it is an annual, which does not seem to match the descriptions I have found. It appears about February and lasts til about April. Then it gets yellow and dies back and I pull it up. Anyone who has more information would appreciate it. I live on the central coast of California zone 9b or 17... mild climate.
Looks like Claytonia perfoliata (aka miner’s lettuce) to me. Especially with the flower. Native to moist/costal area, British Columbia to Mexico

BINGO! that's it! I'm growing salad greens! Talk about a no effort situation LOL. Thank you for the responses.
It's a weed! Have had them for years and they can spread rapidly.
It is miner's lettuce and delicious! the stems are so sweet and I loved chewing on them as a child. Unfortunately, they do not grow here, but my mouth is watering just thinking about them.
