Vinegar and baking soda should do the trick. mix, fill the vase with hot water, let stand then use a soft cloth to remove the residue and rinse.

You might be able to remove it by rubbing the inside with the solution normally used to rid glasses of spots in the dishwasher, one of them is Jet Dry. I have been able to get rid of the residue inside cloudy glasses with it.

@Babs Thanks! It has a small opening so I can't get in there to rub it. What I'll do is pour some in and swish it around for a while - maybe a few times. Just hope it isn't etched.

Get a small package of Polident or borrow 1 tablet from someone. If it's a small vase brake up & put a small piece in & add water passed line in vase. Let it sit a day or so. Rinse thoroughly or give it a second dose with the water higher. No scatching.

sprinkle dry baking soda on a foam glass brush. Gently polish the inside and rinse with hot water.
