How do I clean the grout on my tile floors?
I have white grout on my floors throughout my house. I have tried the baking soda/peroxide method but it leaves a residue that seems to take FOREVER to clean off. Is there an easier way to clean grout?

I have been painting my grouts lines forever! Now they make a product that comes in different colors, is the shape of shoe polish & works wonderful: just go over the lines & let dry. You then go back & wash off extra on tiles & buff. It's called Grout Bully~look on amazon! And truly works & lasts!!
Hi Gina,
Cleaning grout is incredibly tedious work and having a build up of baking soda can make the clean up even longer. I would say if you are having issues removing baking soda you are not using enough acid to break it down. If it were me, I would mix a solution of half vinegar and half water. Pour it liberally onto the area and let the chemical reaction take place. The vinegar will neutralize the baking soda and make clean up much easier. Hydrogen peroxide is used to whiten the grout. So, using vinegar as a second step shouldn't effect the brightening reaction that has already taken place once the hydrogen peroxide dries.

Hi Gina!
There are some good ways to do this without the use of baking soda/peroxide. I use a spray cleaner for my tile floors because it gets right in there and you can clean it quickly.

I agree with Debbie, Oxy Clean works pretty well. Just follow the instructions on the container.
