I thought I asked this yesterday but I don't see it anywhere so here goes again. I remember a pretty old fellow telling me how to mix home items from out kitchen cabinets to spray on the inside of shoes to help them stretch. I just don't remember the ingredients...Does anyone know what they are. It seems to me one was rubbing alcohol but not sure. If you know please post

I used to put a sock on and take a cotton ball with alcohol on it and rub on the sock where the shoe seemed tight. While wet, I slipped the shoe on and wore it till it was dry. OR if you can (but be careful the alcohol does not touch the shoe leather) take a cotton ball with alcohol on it and rub it around inside your shoe and then put it on and wear it until it dries. Always worked for me.

combining equal parts rubbing alcohol and distilled wate r(won't leave water marks from mineral deposits like tap water), only on leather shoes.Measure 1/2 cup of distilled water and 1/2 cup of alcohol. Pour them into your spray bottle and insert and close the spray trigger cap.

Spray the mixture on the outside and inside of the shoes, concentrating on any tight spots. Allow to dry for a few minutes, then wear your shoes around the house with thick socks for several hours to help loosen the material.Try on the shoes while wearing a normal pair of socks to test whether or not they are comfortable. If so, they can be worn as normal; if not, you'll need to stretch them further.Insert a shoe stretcher or shoe horn firmly inside the shoe and allow the shoes to stretch for at least four hours.

Hi Shari, hope this helps you out Mix equal parts water and alcohol in a bowl. Diluting the alcohol with water makes the solution gentle for shoes. Pour the shoe stretch solution into a spray bottle or keep it in the bowl. Spray the shoe stretch solution on the inside surface of the shoes where they need to be stretched
